As part of our healthy eating learning, the teachers challenged us to try new healthy foods. At the beginning of the challenge, some of us were braver than others, but we're all on board now and can't get enough of healthy food tasting. Some days it's like a scene from the tasting challenges on I'm a celebrity get me out of here, but we are all so proud of each other. This week we have been looking at and sorting food into the different food groups. We then used some of the ingredients from our shopping trip last week to make pancakes. Our teachers were so proud of us when some of us tried toppings and pancakes for the first time. Didn't we look amazing on World Book Day.
We've had a busy week here in language provision, talking and thinking about our next part of the topic - healthy food. We began our week by taking a walk to the shop to buy ingredients for our learning over the next few weeks. Next we planted different vegetable seeds, so hopefully we'll have a good crop of veggies! Finally, some of us were very brave when we tasted new fruits, then made our delicious fruit smoothies.
