Last week we started to look at a new book - The Journey Home, which is about endangered animals and how they are losing their habitats. We acted out scenes from the book to help us remember the sequence and practise our speaking and listening skills. We went on to research endangered animals and wrote a fact file about our chosen animal. When we write our version of the story next week we will add our chosen endangered animal. The animals we chose are the Amur Leopard, the Black Rhino and the Red Panda....ask us about them! This week we said goodbye to some of our amazing children. They had a fun time at their leaving party. Some of our children had great fun making animal masks this week. This week our gorgeous butterflies emerged from their cocoons. We observed them for 2 days, then let them fly free to complete the lifecycle.
